Plains Rally – 13 June 2026, Bala

The organisers of the 2026 Plains Rally would like to inform competitors, officials, volunteers, and supporters that the event date has been revised. The rally will now take place on Saturday 13 June 2026, having moved from the originally scheduled date of 16 May.

This change has been necessary due to the unavailability of a suitable service area for the May date. We appreciate the understanding and flexibility shown by everyone affected and are pleased to confirm that the event will continue to be based in Bala, as originally planned.

Planning for the event is progressing well. Route planning is already well under way, with initial proposals including approximately 44 stage miles, featuring a stage not used since the Astra Stages in the early 2000s — a welcome return that we’re sure will be popular with competitors and fans alike.

We are also pleased to advise that marshal recruitment will open soon, with full details to be released via Rally Stage Team – Plains Rally channels in the coming weeks.

We are delighted to confirm that the 2026 Plains Rally will remain a qualifying round of the following championships and series:

  • Motorsport UK Pirelli Welsh Stage Rally Championship

  • Protyre Autocare BTRDA Rally Series

  • Motorsport UK English Rally Championship

  • ANWCC Forest Rally Championship

  • SD34 Stage Rally Championship

  • TCS Plains Rally Challenge in support of Wales Air Ambulance

  • Celtic Micra Challenge

  • Mini Rally Challenge

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you to Bala in June 2026 for what promises to be a fantastic day of rallying.
