Marshals Appeal for 2010

Les and Mike are now formulating their team of Marshals for the Plains Rally in 2010, and as always, the success of a rally is totally dependent on the marshals who volunteer their services for the day. Last year the response to our appeal for marshals was superb and we look forward to your cooperation once again on Saturday, May 15th, 2010.

If you would like to be a part of our successful team for the 2010 BTRDA - Plains Rally in the Welsh forests, we welcome your responses as soon as you feel able to commit. It may seem a long way off, so please make contact with either Les or Mike as soon as possible.

Yours in Motorsport - Les & Mike - 05-12-2009

The Plains Rally has benefited over a number of years from the involvement of members of the Air Training Corps
both from the local 2364 Squadron in Welshpool and 146 Squadron from Northwich (Cheshire).
These young volunteers have provided valuable support at the spectator stages and at the start and finish of the event.
The Plains Rally organising team are very grateful to both ATC's and look forward to working with them again on this years event.

Message from Mark Higgins - 2009
Many thanks to all the club for a great event, the plains was the first forest event I did on a map in 1990 and enjoyed the stages as much this time.

Thanks to all the officials and marshals

Good stages but shame they had to be shortened, but fully understand the reason's behind them.

Suprised more people didn't have the 10 min road penalty for management cars being in out of bound area's, but thankfully something is being done about it, well done for policeing it.

Well done and many thanks to all the organiser's, marshal's, recovery etc etc on a excellent well run event, and to Mad Mick for his after party on Saturday night, just a shame so many people missed a decent night, with a few dought nut's for entertainment!!

Jamie Forrest.

Massive thanks to all organisers and marshalls for a very slick event. the wood yard was much better run that way than last year.

Great event too, the stages were absolutely mint so will deffo be back next year, we struggled quite a bit in the first 4 stages but everything seemed to click much better after service but we then snapped an engine mount so creaped through stages 7+8 to make sure of a finish, car struggled a bit for power on the hilly sections but apart from that run sweet as a nut.

10/10 to event organisers/marshals.

Both Hugh and I would like to say congratulations to Graham and all the organising team from Knutsford & DMC for a cracking day's sport on Saturday.

Graham I can tell you're a road-rally navigator as you have the ability to think on your feet with how you kept the event tight going into Mick's stage. Nice touch!
